1.   What is the T5 Membership Workshops Program (T5)?

The T5 Membership Workshops Program (a.k.a. Train Teachers to Train Teachers or T5) is a new membership program developed by Yilin & Associate Services. T5 is designed by teachers for teachers to increase their knowledge about teaching, and to utilize what they’ve learned into the classroom environment.  T5 provides teachers with useful information in all aspects of EFL learning by allowing teachers to train fellow teachers.

2.   Why should I join T5?

T5 provides members with up to date EFL training in various topics and themes. It allows members to join a group to share, and brainstorm their thoughts and ideas about anything, and everything.  It is a place to learn, earn and be edu-tained!

T5 provides members with discounts on books, props and curriculum. It also provides members with useful information through workshops, online resources, print resources, field trips, and much more…

3.   How will T5 benefit me?

Past training workshops had always been a one directional learning situation where teachers are listeners. With T5, teachers become information givers as well as listeners. Teachers have the opportunity to share their teaching experiences with fellow teachers, at the same time they learn to become trainers.  T5 gives teachers the opportunity to expand their experiences and move up in becoming a teacher trainer and manager.

4.   How does the membership work?

Each membership consists of 24 training hours over six months period. Members must use up the 24 training hours within the six months. Members will receive a membership stamp card which will be used to attend workshops. For each workshop attended, a block will be stamped on the card. Each block consists of 3 training hours (half day). For whole day workshops, 2 blocks will be stamped.

5.   Is the membership card transferable?

All membership cards are fully transferable to another person. Members may invite guests to attend workshops as well.  For each guest a member brings, an additional block will be stamped.  The membership card includes a membership I.D. number which is used to purchase books, curriculums and attend other events at a discounted rate.

6.   What if I don’t use up my time and the membership expires?

For members who still have hours remaining in their expired membership, the hours may not be transferred to the new membership. However, they may exchange the leftover hours for Education Packs.

7.   How much does the T5 membership cost? How long does the membership last?

The T5 membership is priced at $3000 NT with the membership lasting for six months. If the member had used up all the training hours prior to the six months expiration date, he/she may renew the membership or purchase individual workshops at the membership rate if and only if prior to the expiration date.

8.   Where and when are the training workshops held?

Most training workshops will be held on Sunday mornings from 9am to 12pm. Whole day workshops will be reserved for Guest speakers. All workshops will be held at Conference Hall. Confirmation of location and date will be announced via e-mail or telephone to each member prior to workshop date.

9.   I heard I can get my membership fee back?

Members may get their membership fee back by signing up to become a workshop speaker. Speakers will be paid $800-1000 NT per hour depending on their teaching experience. Transportation fees will be added for residents living outside Tainan.
